Hi readers,

Thank you for your continued patience as I am still developing my blog. I hope you are enjoying the information so far…

I wanted to share a personal story with you today. I am sure at least one of you may be suffering through what are called Venous Stasis Ulcers.
These ulcers are the result of a circulatory issue caused in the veins. People with diabetes, or the elderly, often suffer with these wounds. I am the exception to the rule. I have been suffering with these ulcers over the past 13 years. I do not have diabetes, nor am I am elderly individual. I am in my 40’s, and have worked on my feet all my life. The issue for me is in my left leg. The blood flows down into my leg from my femoral artery, and branches out into my veins. The values are suppose to close to force the blood to flow back up towards the heart. However, at least one of my veins is in re-flux. That simply means that the veins don’t close, and the blood ends up in my foot/ankle area. This causes an open wound called a Venous Stasis Ulcer. I have had Ultrasounds, CAT scans, MRI tests, X-Rays, biopsies, and even two surgeries. I end up going through weekly treatments, and dressing changes to close the ulcer. Ultimately it heals, and everything is fine for awhile. The ulcer has come back 3 times so far after a 3 year span. It can be extremely painful, and frustrating. However, thanks to my cousin, Jamie, I have found an amazing remedy to heal the ulcers in a short amount of time. It is called MEDIHONEY. The very first thing that has actually worked for me. After just one application, the ulcer shrunk 50%. I highly recommend this product to anyone suffering from an open wound. I have attached a photo of this product, so that everyone can see what it looks like. Please look into it, or ask your doctor about it. This product is very new to the market. It can be found on for less than $20.00. Good luck, and I hope it helps at least one person out there. Don’t forget to follow up with constant compression too! Please let me know what you think. I love dogs!

For all the dog lovers out there. I have included some pictures of 3 favorite furry friends; Binky, Bacah, and Teddy. I have had dogs all of my life. Pets give unconditional love to their owners. They just make everything better. Everyone that has a pet knows what I mean. Unfortunately, where I live right now, I cannot have a dog of my own. I frequently enjoy kisses, and cuddles from my puppy family. All of these dogs are rescue dogs. They have come from 2 different rescue organizations, which I will list for you. Please go on their sites, and check out the puppies that are up for adoption. These lovable cuties need homes. Please pass along the information to a family, friend, or coworker that may be looking to adopt. (Ask for Dorothy) (Cat rescue)

Welcome Readers!

Welcome to my NEW and IMPROVED blog, The Latvian Leo! For those of you who don’t know me already, my name is Tracey Saulevics. I created this blog as a way of sharing my creative side. I took the two words that I thought best described me. “Latvian”, because of my family heritage, and “Leo” to describe my personality and astrological sign. Along the way, I will share with you my love of food, my favorite travel destinations, my beauty tips & DIY projects.
